Cold Tuesday

Clouds over Skye

Monday's sunset & Tuesday's birds

One of the half dozed goldfinches we are seeing every day on the feeders (nijer seed).

Another goldfinch & a thrush, wonder if we'll get the redwings again
that showed up last time it snowed heavily. Mrs blackbird stuffing her face with berries.

Sunday snow

The high school,
Andy & dogs enjoying the snow but the wind is bitterly cold.

Local kids sledding down the sheep field. (These 2 "kids" waited 'til everyone had gone & then, went and had a go.) Great fun.

Almost a full moon

Gairloch Leisure Centre

An open day at the leisure centre today to encourage folk to try out the facilities, including the new climbing wall.
The kids showed the rest of us how to do it! They were like spiders running up the walls - no fear. Unlike Margot who went up & down very quickly in order to get it over with.

The more difficult wall with overhangs - Andy had a go at this one.

A superb day also included spinning, rowing, a childrens play area & trade stands, Tiso & Craig Don Sports. Not to mention the wonderful spread put on by the parent teacher council. The leisure centre doubles as the school sports facilities, so we should see some top climbers emerging in the future.
