The school roof is evidence of the good sense of a steep pitch. Can you spot the man at work? (Hint - left click to enlarge)

The white stuff is back this morning

Following sleet last night, the snow is returning this morning. A blizzard blows across the village
& across the loch. We're promised a couple of days of this & to beware of icy conditions on the roads. Oh joy!

Saturday Run

Bright sunny day so we decided to do a training run for our coming marathon. The local radio said beware of ice and they were right it was slippy until we turned round to run home. We parked about 3 miles from home at the kerry river and ran down the single track road along the coast on the other side of the bay to our village. We ran about 15 miles but stopped to chat with friends and to take photos along the way.
Pics are : The start with Kerry river, Margot and our little Suzuki
Shieldaig bay and mirror images
Shieldaig bay with Shieldaig Lodge hotel on the right, lovely setting and run by our friend Gino.
Badachro bay on the way out
Opinan and the Torridon mountains in cloud (our friend Sharon is building a house where the caravans are).
Badachro on our return with the Inn just below the hill on the right.

Trip to Invergordon

On Tue Andy drove over to the other coast to pick up stuff for the school. It's much colder other there -1 C at lunch time. Some roads were still icy due to lack of salt, so it was a slow careful drive. The school trailer it excellent for carrying things as its nearly as big as a small transit van inside.
Picture taken in Dingwall Lorry park, on way home, too big to fit in Tesco's car park. Still icy everywhere and shortcut to Tesco's needed crampon's but had to make do with a wall to grab hold of.
